European Nightcrawlers (Eisenia Hortensis)
Called the "Super Worm," these composters are the cousin of the red wigglers. Also called European Nightcrawlers (Eisenia hortensis,) they are an excellent composting worm capable of eating as much as any other composter, and very hardy in cold temperatures. These worms also make excellent fishing bait, making them a dual purpose worm particularly well suited to the Pacific Northwest. Approximately 300-500 in a pound. These are awesome, hungry, and BIG worms!
